Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
This policy explains how Synthemo (“we”, “us”) handles personal data on this website, synthemo.com, and in Synthemo-machine, our internal publishing tool. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of how this website works.
1. Who we are
Synthemo is a small company based in Oakland, California, USA. It makes two products, Fluxion and Northline. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@synthemo.com.
2. What synthemo.com collects
synthemo.com is an information page. It has no accounts, sign-in, forms or advertising.
- Page views: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It records the pages viewed, the referring site and general details such as country, browser and device type. It uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across other websites.
- Hosting and media: the site is hosted by Vercel, and its images and video are served by Cloudinary, Mux and our Northline site. Like any web server, they receive your IP address and browser details in order to deliver the page, and may keep them briefly in their logs.
- Email: if you write to us, we keep your message and address to answer you.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising cookies or trackers.
3. Fluxion and Northline
Our products have their own accounts and their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them:
- Fluxion (app.synthemo.com): Fluxion Privacy Policy
- Northline (persona.synthemo.com): Northline Privacy Policy
4. Synthemo-machine and connected social accounts
Synthemo-machine is an internal tool used only by Synthemo staff. It isn't open to the public and has no outside users. We use it to publish Synthemo's own content (for example our videos and posts) to Synthemo's own accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Discord and other platforms, and to read those accounts' performance metrics, so we can see how our content does.
What it accesses. Through each platform's official API, and only for accounts Synthemo owns and has connected:
- basic details of our own accounts and channels, such as their name and id;
- metadata of our own videos and posts, such as titles, descriptions, links, publish times and status, and the files we upload;
- aggregate metrics for our accounts and posts that the platform provides, such as views, watch time, likes, comments, shares and follower counts.
It doesn't collect data about the people who watch or follow our accounts beyond the aggregate statistics the platforms provide. It doesn't place cookies or anything else on viewers' devices. We don't sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers that host the tool for us.
Access tokens. When we connect an account, the platform gives the tool an access token. Tokens are stored encrypted on our servers, never in a browser or in source code, are used only to act on that Synthemo account, and can be revoked at any time (see below).
How long we keep it. A token is kept while its account stays connected and deleted when the account is disconnected or access is revoked. Records of what we published, and the metrics read for it, are kept as Synthemo's own marketing records while we need them, and deleted on request. Data obtained from the YouTube API Services is refreshed or deleted as Google's developer policies require.
Revoking access. Access can be withdrawn on the platform's side at any time, without contacting us:
- Google and YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions
- TikTok: the account's settings, under the apps and services that have access to it
- Facebook: Settings, Apps and websites; Instagram and Threads: the account's settings, under apps and websites
- Discord: User Settings, Authorized Apps
YouTube. Synthemo-machine uses YouTube API Services. By using them, we are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and data obtained through them is also covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Deleting your data
To ask us to delete data we hold about you, from this website, Synthemo-machine or your messages to us, write to support@synthemo.com and say what you'd like deleted. We answer within 30 days and confirm when it is done. For Fluxion and Northline accounts, follow their privacy policies above.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, or to correct or delete it, at support@synthemo.com. We won't treat you differently for asking. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you can also object to or restrict our processing and complain to your data protection authority. Our services run in the United States.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to it is limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
8. Children
This website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to support@synthemo.com and we'll delete it.
9. Changes
We'll update this policy when what we collect or how we use it changes, and show the new effective date at the top.
